If I could do 10 stars! My older parents, upon the recommendation of their neighbors, decided to skip the big box store experience and instead went to Almaden Valley Nursery. The staff was incredibly patient with my dad, and very competitive from a pricing perspective. If you want a hometown feel, great plant knowledge and a wonderfully supportive experience, this is your place!

Almaden Valley Nursery is a must-visit for all rose lovers!! Their rose selection is incredible, and all the bushes looked healthy, vibrant, and well cared for. I happened to stop by during a buy 1 get 1 50% off sale, and it made it very hard not to buy everything in sight! The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I learned a lot about roses, especially English roses. I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re looking for beautiful, high-quality roses and a great local nursery!

Ryan was very helpful when I needed help to buy roses for a client’s yard and also for my mother’s yard. Ryan was very knowledgeable about roses and other plants and very professional. Chucho is also always very knowledgeable and a great help in my purchase decisions here. I highly recommend this nursery and they have a great variety of roses that choose from. I’ve been a customer here for years since I love gardening and love purchasing roses and plants for my real estate clients. Practically all favorite garden roses are from Almaden Valley Nursery. Our Blue Hibiscus, which is actually purple, is also from this nursery; please refer to my Blue Hibiscus photo as well as the pictures I posted of some of my roses. I recently bought a yellow jasmine for our backyard from Almaden Valley Nursery and I can’t wait for it to bloom; I read that it can take up to 3 years for yellow jasmine to begin blooming after planting. Hope we don’t have to wait 3 years for our new jasmine to bloom but I’m glad that I can find such rare flowers and plants at this nursery that I can’t find at other nurseries. Lovely nursery with very reasonable prices and helpful staff. The gift store has a good selection of seasonal decorations and neat extras like local honey. Will visit again!

Winter isn’t the best season to visit this nursery. Most of the stock seemed affected by winter injury and they didn’t look great. What seemed to be a once charming place has done little to insulate its plants. There was a charming kitty on its premises.
